I’ve always said that the anecdote “it takes a village“ is not credited enough. 2024 was a meaningful year. I am grateful for the strength of our village who helped Community Cat Foundation (CCF) generate these milestones:
- Guide the mission and activities of CCF to expand our adoption program. Improve our volunteer program to provide necessary enrichment to resident Feral Cats as well as the adoptable cats. We established an internship program with City Heights Preparatory and High-Tech High in Point Loma that brought cat loving student volunteers to our rescue.
- Apply for and receive two grants from Mission Meow that were used to purchase equipment and help expand our trap neuter return services to over 300 cats.
- Provide vital medical care that resulted in saving the lives of 18 young cats and kittens. Ever-expanding partnerships with local shelters, businesses, and homeowners in the San Diego community helped us supply food to the caretakers of over 400 community cats.
- Our generous Landlord enables us to use our building to shelter rescued cats until they find permanent homes as well as provide space to assist the cats of people who had temporarily lost their homes.
- Generous donors - despite a difficult year for adoptions - enabled us add quarantine enclosures to rescue and provide medical care for an additional 55 cats. The generosity of our community and donors spreads far beyond the individual cats whose lives we have touched. Thank you for believing in our mission and for being part of creating change for Cats.
